The main criterion for any staff member at Community Montessori is to have a true love and respect for every child/teen. We value, welcome and celebrate a diverse population. Although State Licensure and/or Montessori Certification is not required, a commitment in obtaining State Licensure and cultivating a true understanding of Maria Montessori, the Montessori scope and sequence of materials, and the Community Montessori belief system is essential.
As a staff, we have worked together to create commitments of what behaviors/actions should be consistent by age level ( Early Education (3-6 year olds) adult commitments, Elementary(6-12 year olds) adult commitments), and Teens (12-18 year old) adult commitments. We have also created our Differentiated Staffing Schedule to help communicate how a staff member is compensated and our Staff Calendar to communicate contract days.
